How do Volunteers make a difference?

Volunteers are vital to the success of our mission; to provide care and placement to lost and homeless pets in our community. Volunteers help in a variety of ways, including:
  • Animal socialization and exercise
  • Providing a clean and safe environment for our pets
  • Groundskeeping
  • Office support
  • Special events
  • And much more!

How do I become a Volunteer at Aggieland Humane Society?

1. Fill out the appropriate Volunteer Application, including volunteer fee.
2. Sign up and attend a one-hour Volunteer Orientation.
3. Start Volunteering!
*If you are needing to complete court-mandated community service, please see our Court Appointed Volunteer page.

What are the rules on ages?

  • 18 Years or Older – This age group is free to volunteer without guardian consent.

  • 16 – 17 Years Old – This age group is permitted to volunteer with guardian consent. The volunteer and guardian must both be present at the orientation. Once the orientation is complete the volunteer may volunteer without the guardian’s supervision.

  • 9 – 15 Years Old – This age group is only permitted to volunteer with a guardian. Volunteers and guardians in this age group must sign up as a family by filling out the Family Application. The Family Application allows up to five family members to volunteer. Family members interested in volunteering must attend orientation together as a group.
